Fashion retailer Madewell will open a 4,575-square-foot men’s and women’s clothing store in fall 2025 at The Corners of Brookfield, according to an Aug. 5 news release from The Corners.
Part of the J. Crew Group, Madewell is known for its denim and “elevated everyday style,” according to the release.
The shop offers discounts and deals for those who sign up for its “Madewell Insiders” loyalty program, including 15% off in-store and online for shoppers who are teachers, students, first responders, medical personnel or military.
The Madewell at The Corners to carry both men’s and women’s items
The location will be the first Madewell store in southeast Wisconsin to carry both men’s and women’s merchandise. It will be located next to Free People on the southeast side of Market Street in a vacant space, according to Kathryn Whitlock, public relations representative for The Corners of Brookfield.
A Madewell location at Mayfair Mall carries women’s clothing. A Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter did not immediately receive a response from the retailer on whether the new Corners store would impact the existing Wauwatosa location.
Madewell is the latest tenant to be announced as part of a ‘reimagined’ Market Street
The store is the latest newcomer in a string of announced tenants for the town center’s “reimagined” Market Street along the east side of the town center.
Market Street’s tenant and design makeover is in part to “attract the brightest and freshest brands” to the walkable town shopping center, Robert Gould, CEO of Brookfield Corners, LLC, said in the release.
Those plans included ending the Silverspot Cinema’s lease, closing the upscale movie theater in mid-June.
The theater, which opened in 2019, will be updated as retail space that has yet to be announced.
Alo Yoga, a Los Angeles-based luxury activewear and wellness brand, and women’s clothing store Evereve, are both under construction with expected opening dates later in summer 2025.
MeatEater, an outdoor lifestyle shop specializing in hunting, fishing, cooking and camping, is also opening its first Wisconsin location at The Corners of Brookfield shopping center in early fall.
Not far from Market Street at 20340 W. Lord St., brunch spot Waking Daisy opened July 18.
Luxury apartments are included as part of The Corners changes
Plans for 278 luxury apartments at the site of what used to be La Quinta Hotel and two restaurants are also moving forward at The Corners, with construction expected to begin in 2026.
The 40,000-square-foot development, known as the West End, is being developed with Mandel Group, Inc. and will include a fitness and wellness club for all tenants at The Corners.
