Best Plus Size Wedding Guest Dresses
Summer wedding season is here, which means it’s time to start searching for dresses that check all the boxes: flattering, comfortable, breathable, and occasion-appropriate. Easier said than done, right? Especially if you’re plus-size and tired of the usual “safe” options that feel more like an afterthought than a real fashion moment.
We’re not here for that.
This is your gentle reminder that wedding guest dressing doesn’t have to mean sacrificing style for comfort — you can have both. Whether you’re headed to a black-tie vineyard wedding or a barefoot ceremony on the beach, there are gorgeous, well-made, plus-size-friendly dresses that will make you feel stunning and keep you cool in the summer heat.
From romantic florals to sleek slip dresses, here are my favorite plus-size summer wedding guest dresses — all wearable, all stylish, and all absolutely celebration-ready.
Let’s get into it.

Although I’ve rounded up a full list of dresses that I’d happily wear to one of the many weddings I am attending this year, I have to give a shout-out to this elegant and timeless Eloquii dress. It’s absolute perfection and what I recently wore to my best friend’s Italian themed wedding.

And while this is certainly a post about wedding guest dresses, I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you all that these are the best wedding guest dancing shoes. They are cloud like comfort and available in wide as well, which fit my feet perfectly!
My Favorite Places To Shop For Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses
My search for plus-size wedding guest dresses has been an ongoing saga, especially since I am in that stage of life where all of my friends are getting married. I am attending weddings left and right and have tested out tons of different dresses at a variety of price points. Overall what I have found though is that my favorite wedding guest dresses are the ones that you can repurpose and wear to different occasions.
I’m talking about the dresses that feel elegant enough to attend a beautiful ceremony, but are also versatile enough to wear for a fancy date night. I find that the dresses have the most timeless features work well for graduations, bar mitzvahs, and other major life events too. So if you are like me and you love a good listicle of the actual retailers you can keep an eye on, these are the best to add to your wedding guest dress search list.
- Anthropologie – offers the most variety of on trend, classic, black tie dresses and they even have stunning plus size dresses for the bride-to-be
- Eloquii – has the best selection of $150 and under dresses, and just so happens to be where I scored this under $60 wedding guest dress
- Nordstrom – a great selection of wedding guest dresses for black tie weddings, lots of mother-of-the-bride options, and the quickest ordering and returning process of all the retailers.
- Reformation – while they have a limited selection of plus size offerings, this is one of few places that offer sustainable plus sizes. And their silk and linen dresses are to die for.
- Meshki – looking for sexy vavavoom dresses?! Then Meshki is your answer. These are sexy dresses and they’ve got a great selection for beach weddings too
- Azizie – offers the most inclusive sizing of all retailers with a size range of 0-30, and is a great option for bridesmaid dresses too!
